McDonald's Menu Items Now Have Calorie Counts & What They Show May Surprise You

How tragic and sad that even McDonalds has submitted to the groups that wish to control what other people eat and take the fun out of food, with 'health' as an excuse for control.

Nobody is being controlled here. Nobody is being told they can't eat unhealthy fast food, they're just being given honest information about how unhealthy the food is.

People will still eat whatever McDonald sells regretless of the calories intake would be. People like cheap, fast and tasty food.

But even if they show you the calories I doubt people will be turned away and go some where else.

It's like trying to just give apple slices with the burgers instead of fries in a kids meal... the parents will just buy fries on the side.
I think it's a good thing, because those "healthy" salads give people a false idea they are eating "right" and although it can be less carbs... it can be loaded with fat.
I think it's good that people make informed decisions.
When I ate fast food, more often than I do now, I gave up the fries... because I knew the cheeseburger had enough calories.
Now it doesn't even taste good to me. I'd rather buy a $4 lunch at chinese take out than spend it on a fast food meal... and those meals are often enough for two servings.

I'm just the type person that might benefit from this. I like the chicken sandwich until I found out how many calories it had. I still eat it sometimes but without fries, for sure.
