The Amazon Black Friday 2011 deals started earlier this week, and savvy consumers have been taking advantage of the early sales. Among those are some rock bottom prices on Blu-ray discs and DVDs featuring hit movies like X-Men: First Class.
The Amazon Black Friday deals on Blu-ray movies may be rather attractive to movie enthusiasts and discerning shoppers. The X-Men: First Class Blu-ray is priced down to $9.99, after the movie first arrived out weeks ago at prices of $20 to $25. It's a significant savings on a movie that many have called one of the better superhero films to date. In fact, the movie seems to be so good a deal that it's now topping the top sellers list. Other movie deals include newer films like Fast Five for just $12.99, and Green Lantern starring Ryan Reynolds for just $9.99.
TV shows are part of the deal too, with hit shows like Mad Men and Glee also discounted. There's also some classic movies on the top sellers list like Pulp Fiction for just $8.99 and Princess Bride at $9.99. Surprisingly, the Keanu Reeves sci-fi/fantasy film The Maxtrix is priced down to $4.99. These certainly make for some low price deals on top choices in the Blu-ray category. It also might lead some to think that better versions of the movies are coming out with restorations and more comprehensive features. Still, if one of these is a person's favorite film, snatching it at these sort of prices is a bargain.
Blu-ray discs have become increasingly popular due to their quality and features compared to DVD's. This coming Black Friday could see a lot of new Blu-ray players and Sony PlayStation 3's being scooped up. Probably one of the worst things on Christmas is not having a movie to enjoy on the new piece of equipment. That's what makes the Amazon deals almost like "stocking stuffers" at the prices they're offering!
