Black Friday 2011, as with years past, has creeped into Thanksgiving Day meaning that retailers will be open on Turkey Day with their unbelievable shopping deals, and their employees will have to come to work instead of spending time with family. Not surprisingly this has angered some people.
Of course, Black Friday kicks off the year's biggest shopping season, so it is hard to blame retailers for trying to get a leg up on their competition for holiday shopping dollars by offering their shopping deals early to lure in customers. Stores like Target and WalMart will open on Thanksgiving evening, which is a move that the employees have not been thrilled with. Even so, some shoppers really love being able to head out to buy bargains after eating their large turkey dinner. What about you? Do you shop on the biggest shopping day of the year?
What do you think about Black Friday's Thanksgiving creep? Is it too much, or does it make for a new tradition for your family? The good news is that most retailers also offer their deals online, so some people will not even have to brave the crowds and the cold to save a buck. If you miss out on huge Black Friday deals then, there is always Cyber Monday.
