Netflix addicts and others who hoped to curtail entertainment expenses by using this popular DVD rental by mail service will need to either pay a little more cash or consider the streaming-video-only option.
According to a report on CNN Money, Netflix will be raising rates on its two most popular plans by a buck a month. These plans allow one and two DVDs to be rented at a time. For those with a more severe addiction, who are renting three or four at a time, the rate increase will take a bigger bite, up $3 and $4 respectively.
If you are able to make do with Netflix’s library of streaming video, you can choose the streaming-only option. That option, which will cost you $7.99 each month; lets you stream all the movies and TV shows you want, but DVDs are not a part of the package.
Though you might prefer streaming video for its convenience, keep in mind not all titles are available. Those who want access to the entire library will still need to keep DVD service.

Also, there is no customer service available online to talk to them about the issue. Have to call in and wait on hold. Also ridiculous. Netflix will eventually force their customers to go elsewhere, and presto-Netflix will be a thing of the past.
